Thanks for the reply, Hillel.

I just wanted you to know that despite my (mild) complaining I love the site, and will definitely visit Seattle when I next visit the US. I must decide for myself where the best sushi/sashimi is to be found. :)

Thanks for the nice thoughts.

As for the pictures I agree with you 10000%!!!!

Here's more detail than you could ever possibly want. The old site was built by hand and simply became untenable. I started posting less and less because it was simply not possible to post reliably to the site any more. Pictures were especially difficult. In essentially emergency mode we moved the site to wordpress which we are now on. Wordpress is a much much better way t make tastingmenu. Except, we're relying on the plug-in community to give us a way to post pictures. We've found the plug-in we want, but it's not compatible with the latest version of wordpress, so we're waiting for the guy to update it. As soon as he does, you'll have the old style pictures posted with links from the names of each dish. Until then, please be patient as we stick with flickr slide shows. I know they're not perfect, but they're only temporary.

And if anyone knows of anything better than Aniga to do Wordpress photo albums where each album gets its own page with comments and everything, please let me know!

Hillel,

While I'm loving the new slant you and Dana are aiming for, I have to say I much preferred the older style where the name of the item being described linked to a picture, rather than the current slideshow approach. Looking at picute 054 doesn't really tell me what I'm looking at after all. There's no real connection between description and image, if you see what I mean.

Anyway, just my $0.02. :)
