Great informative and to the point post on boom noodle. I love their croquettes and wasabi soba noodles. As a seattleite..it’s great to have a very modern decor and great resto addition to cap hill. It definitely needs reviving..

I love boom for a few reasons. Prices are good. The food comes out fast. Service for me has always been top notch. The food is clean, crisp and tasty (as you guys mentioned).

Here comes the best bit. Going there with a young kid. We have a two year old, and this place is bloody perfect at lunch or dinner. It is loud enough so if he starts yelling, no big deal. The food there is right up a kids alley too – simple stuff, noodles, some protein. Perfect. One server there is just brilliant with our son too. And the best bit.. it doesn’t feel like you are going to a kid friendly restaurant, given the hip (close to being too hip) atmosphere and decor.

Boom Noodle was voted Best New Restaurant in Evening Magazine’s annual Best of Western WA poll. They’ll be featured on the show this Friday at 7pm on KING-5.

Agreed. I realized upon review of the video that I should have mentioned the original inspiration. Of course, Boom Noodle really is a clone while Wagamama is “inspired by” and a Western interpretation.

“Boom” means “the thing I currently crave” in Japanese-argot.

I agree that this is a copy of the Wagamama concept…which in turn was a copy of many eateries in Tokyo/Osaka…
